The Detroit Dragons™ are a premier esports organization based in Detroit, Michigan. Founded to establish Michigan’s home for competitive and casual gaming, the Dragons lead the state in organized play and community engagement.
Through their official Discord community, the Dragons host social events designed to strengthen teamwork, sportsmanship, and local pride. Their Pro, Rec, and Community Teams compete across several titles, embodying both professional focus and grassroots enthusiasm.
As the parent organization of the Muskegon Mariners™, the Dragons provide mentorship, development, and coordination across Michigan’s expanding esports network. Together, the Dragons and Mariners elevate Michigan’s gaming identity, bridging casual and competitive players through shared values of unity, growth, and competition.

Mission Statement
We aim to establish Detroit as a powerhouse in esports by building a community-driven organization that represents Michigan with the same passion and pride as our state’s legendary sports teams.
Organization History
Founded in the early 2020s by MLG ArkAngel, the Detroit Dragons™ were established to create a premier esports organization in Michigan. We initially launched under a different name (Detroit Raptors/Detroit Bears) but quickly rebranded to the Detroit Dragons after securing our current domain and social media presence. In our first year, the organization underwent strategic overhauls to ensure a safe and stable foundation for our members. While we initially explored creating a youth division, we ultimately redirected those resources to a community-focused initiative: supporting Michigan schools in building their own esports teams and communities.

Minor League Affiliate
The Muskegon Mariners™ are the official minor league affiliate of the Detroit Dragons. Serving as a developmental branch of the organization, the Mariners provide emerging players and staff with opportunities to hone their skills and prepare for top-tier competition. Together, the Dragons and Mariners work to expand Michigan’s esports legacy and build a strong, connected gaming community.
