Mission Statement
We aim to establish Detroit as a powerhouse in esports by building a community-driven organization that represents Michigan with the same passion and pride as our state’s legendary sports teams.
Organization History
Founded in the early 2020s, the Detroit Dragons™ were established to create a premier esports organization in Michigan. We initially launched under a different name (Detroit Raptors/Detroit Bears) but quickly rebranded to the Detroit Dragons after securing our current domain and social media presence. In our first year, the organization underwent strategic overhauls to ensure a safe and stable foundation for our members. While we initially explored creating a youth division, we ultimately redirected those resources to a community-focused initiative: supporting Michigan schools in building their own esports teams and communities.
